Zusammenfassung:	A wireless enabled digital media frame that can communicate over a wireless wide area network (WWAN) is provided. The wireless enabled digital media frame comprises an internal or external WWAN modem (e.g. GPRS/EDGE/UMTS/HSPA/LTE) such that the one or more media is transferred to the media frame using a wireless connection (e.g. 2G/3G/3.5G/4G). The wireless enabled digital media frame displays the received media files on a display screen. Further, broadcast alerts received over the WWAN and/or calculated current signal strength is also displayed on the display screen. Furthermore, setting information is received by the WWAN modem and accordingly applied to modify or update media frame functions.
