Zusammenfassung:According to one embodiment, an access control apparatus is configured to convert a logical address into position information of a physical sector to control access to a storage medium. The access control apparatus includes an access mode specifying command processing module and an access processing module. The access mode specifying command processing module receives an access mode specifying command specifying an access mode that defines a relationship between the logical address and the physical sector, and stores the access mode in an access mode storage module. The access processing module refers to the access mode storage module to determine an access mode for accessing the storage medium.
