| Zusammenfassung: | A method of sealing a photonic assembly comprising several substrate plates and a sealing material disposed therebetween using a frame that may be positioned over and about a perimeter of the assembly. The frame and the assembly form a free space region between the frame and the assembly. A vacuum is applied to the free space region, for example through a passage formed in the frame, thereby causing a force to be applied against the frame and the assembly, via ambient atmospheric pressure, that facilitates the formation of a seal between the substrates when the sealing material is cured. An apparatus for performing the method is also disclosed. |
