Zusammenfassung:	A method to specify a color selection that allows users to construct verbal color descriptions of desired colors for color modification or correction using various components. These components include a user interface component for creating and combining color selection descriptions using menus or other suitable display techniques, a mapping or classifier component to map menu-items to representative color-samples, a component that translates representative color-samples to a mathematical selection transform and a component that maps a set of test colors through the mathematical selection transform to implement the color selector.
