DEVICE FOR USE IN FIRE-FIGHTING OPERATIONS

The invention discloses a device for use in fire-fighting operations and a penetration device of the device for use in firefighting, comprising an extinguishing device (1) arranged on an end region (2) of a cantilever arm (3) of a device for use in fire-fighting operations and adjustable in at least one spatial direction, and a penetration fixture (8) that is adjustable relative to the extinguishing device (1) and has a double-acting pressure cylinder (35) that can be subjected to pressure by a pressure medium from a hydraulic system (34) via at least one control valve, the cylinder having a tubular continuous piston rod (36). The rod has a penetration tool (9) on a protruding end (14) having a through-hole and a nozzle head (15). At another end (38), the piston rod (36) is connected in line with a supply mechanism for an extinguishing medium. At least one pressure accumulator element (76) is in fluid communication with a pressure chamber (63) of the pressure cylinder (35) that brings about an extending motion of the penetration tool (9) when pressure is applied by the pressure medium. At least one further pressure accumulator element (79) is in fluid communication with a return line (71) for the pressure medium from a pressure chamber (64) that causes the penetration tool (9) to be retracted when pressure is applied.
