Zusammenfassung:	A method of and apparatus for ultrasound imaging whereby an acoustic transmit signal including at least one transmit acoustic frequency is transmitted such that at least some of the acoustic energy of the pulse is transmitted into a body to be imaged being of material which has a response to the acoustic energy which will produce a demodulation of the transmit pulse to produce a demodulated signal; and an acoustic receive comprising echoes of the demodulated signal is received at a frequency that is approximately equal to the frequency of the demodulated signal.
