Zusammenfassung:The subject application is directed to a system and method for color acquisition based on human color perception. First component image data in a first component region is received from a first associated sensor having a first sensor area. Second component image data in a second component region is then received from a second associated sensor having a sensor area greater than that of the first sensor area, according to a distribution of human eye color receptors corresponding to the first component region and the second component region. The first and second component image data are then processed into image data in a selected luminance-chrominance color space.
