Zusammenfassung:	A method of fabricating a door for a cover of a transport refrigeration unit includes the steps of forming first and second sheets of plastic material, forming a core member of foam material, assembling the core member of foam material between the first and second sheets of plastic material, and bonding the respective peripheral edges of the first and second plastic sheets together. A transport refrigeration unit has a front cover that includes a pair of front doors of composite structure. Each door is formed of an inner sheet and an outer sheet of plastic material bonded together at their respective peripheral edges about a core of preformed foam material between said first and second sheets.
