Zusammenfassung:	A method for providing awareness of a vehicle's location and heading may include determining a geographic location and heading of the vehicle and presenting a map corresponding to a geographical area where the vehicle is located. The method may also include presenting a predetermined symbol on the map representing the vehicle. The predetermined symbol defines a unique shape to provide substantially unambiguous awareness to an operator of a location of the vehicle and a heading of the vehicle. The predetermined symbol may include a symmetrical body symmetrical about the heading of the vehicle and including a predetermined length and width.
