Zusammenfassung:	A recording/reproducing apparatus for outputting a video achieving high resolution thereupon, while suppressing an amount of data to be recorded onto a recording medium, comprises an input unit for inputting a video signal therein, a first recording medium for recording the video signal inputted, a resolution conversion unit for producing the video signal, with increasing the pixel number of the video from the first recording medium, and a second recording medium for recording the video signal produced by the resolution conversion unit thereon.
