Zusammenfassung:	A screw compressor with two rotors held in a rotor housing has sealing arrangements 11, 11' to seal the pressurized side shaft pin of the rotors, wherein each sealing arrangement has a number of successive radial seal rings 11a, 11b and wherein it contains an annular relief chamber 51 at an intermediate position that is connected by means of a vent channel 53 to a chamber in the rotor housing in which a pressure is present that is higher than atmospheric pressure. It is preferred that the vent channel be connected to the intake chamber 10 of the rotor housing 1 and that this intake chamber be fed by a gas that is pre-compressed by a compressor stage.
