Zusammenfassung:	The present invention provides a method for providing secure access for a communication unit to an IP Multimedia Network in a communication system. The communication system includes a local area network (LAN), an Internet, and the IP Multimedia Network. A first secure connection is established between the LAN and the IP Multimedia Network. The first secure connection traverses the Internet. Secure access is provided to the communication unit by utilizing the first secure connection and a second connection between the communication unit and the LAN.
