Zusammenfassung:	A set top box ("STB") apparatus configurable for handling broadcast, cable television and Internet protocol television ("IPTV") formats by multiple operators via a single flexible operating system is provided. The set top box is enabled to receive and run different operating systems from multiple providers or operators. In another aspect, a dual mode display feature enables viewing of digital content via a first display device while enabling browsing and e-commerce functionality via an associated remote device.
