Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to an antioxidant complex comprising from 0.000001% to 40.00000% by weight of at lest one cinnamiA acid, from 0.000001% to 40.00000% by weight of at least one carotenoid, from 0.000001% to 99.999998% by weight of vitamin E, and a cosmetically and pharmaceutically acceptable a carrier, all the amounts being based on the total weight of the antioxidant complex. The present invention further relates to cosmetic and pharmaceutical compositions comprising said antioxidant complex. The antioxidant complex of the present invention, as well as the above-cited compositions, aid in protecting and preventing cellular and cutaneous damages resulting from the action of free radicals.
