Zusammenfassung:	A pant-type absorbent article, at least one of the front and back panels having an elastic web material constituting the sole component of at least part of the front and/or back panels, the elastic waistband being joined to the waist edge of at least one of the front and back panels, wherein the elastic waistband having a first and a second ply of substantially non-elastic web material enclosing between them at least one elongate elastic member, the first ply of substantially non-elastic web material being secured to one side of the elastic web material at the waist edge of at least one of the front and back panels and that the second ply of substantially non-elastic web material is secured to the opposite side of the elastic web material just opposite said first ply.
