The composition is configured to maintain the active ingredient in contact with the surface for an extended time. The composition may have a viscosity greater than about 20,000 cp and/or may include at least one thickener and/or additive. The method also includes applying the composition to the surface and allowing the composition to remain in contact with the surface for an extended time.
