Zusammenfassung:	A method for monitoring exhaust gas condensates to identify corrosive conditions is provided. The method includes producing an exhaust gas stream by combustion in an engine and supplying the exhaust gas stream to an exhaust system. The exhaust gas stream may be cooled to form a condensate. The conductivity of the condensate may be measured, and the conductivity measurement may be normalized to a predetermined temperature.
