Zusammenfassung:	An illuminated ruler including a light transmissive bar having opposed ends. An opaque film bearing printed indicia in the form of ruled markings is affixed to the bottom of the light transmissive bar. A light-emitting diode is embedded within the light transmissive bar for illuminating the ruled markings. A battery is carried atop one end of the bar and is connected to the light-emitting diode for energizing and illuminating the light-emitting diode.
