Zusammenfassung:In a method for automatically adjusting a document layout including an object containing text, an approximate linear model for the object containing text is created. In addition, a layout quality function is optimized based upon at least one constraint and the approximate linear model for the object is solved based upon the optimized layout quality function. Moreover, the document layout is automatically adjusted based substantially upon the solution to the approximate linear model for the object.
