At first, the focus lens of the optical pick-up head is actuated make the focusing point of a laser beam focused on a number of predetermined positions, and a laser beam with a constant power is provided to write trial write data when the focusing point is in the predetermined positions. The trial write data is read and one of the predetermined positions is selected as the writing focus according to the reproduced trial write data. |
