Zusammenfassung:A method and an apparatus are provided for displaying a local time of a recipient area in a communication terminal. The communication terminal stores country names corresponding to country codes and a global time table constructed having time differences for the countries in order to display the local time of the recipient area. If the confirmation of the local time is requested, a country and a time difference corresponding to an input country code are confirmed through the global time table, the local time is calculated, and the calculated local time is displayed.
