Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:	A multilayer curtain coater for coating a moving material web, such as a paper or board web, with coating material, in which an application device is arranged above a material web having an upper surface, the web being mounted for motion with respect to the curtain coater, and the web arranged so that a coating material feeds onto the surface of the web in a curtain-like flow. The curtain coater has a scraper with a scraper surface which engages the upper surface of the web to remove an air boundary layer thereon. The durability of the scraper surface is increased by constructing the scraper out of a hard wear resistant material or material which is surface-hardened or provided with a durability-enhancing coating layer.
