Process for the asymmetric synthesis of dihydrobenzoxathins
This invention relates to an asymmetric synthesis of sulfides via a chiral sulfoxide directed stereospecific reduction of alpha,beta-unsaturated sulfoxide to the saturated sulfide. These sulfides can be useful as selective estrogen receptor modulators or anti-neoplastic agents.
