Zusammenfassung:	A stator for an eccentric spiral pump comprises a hollow body of an elastic material which has a casing comprising a plurality of segments extending in a longitudinal direction of the casing. Adjacent segments are interconnected along longitudinal sides at variable angles to each other, so that the segments enclose an entire circumference of the casing. Surfaces of the segments are of a planar configuration, so that a closed casing of polygonal cross-section is formed by the interconnected segments. The hollow body of elastic material is of a matching polygonal cross-section to achieve positive contact with the casing.
