Zusammenfassung:	A method, apparatus, and computer instructions for marking a Web page in a data processing system. A user input is received to mark a portion of the Web page displayed in the data processing system to form a marked portion. An identifier of the marked portion is stored in a local data structure in the data processing system. A subsequent retrieval of the Web page results in a presentation of the Web page with the marked portion. This presentation is made using the identifier stored in the local data structure.
