The automation object ( 1. 3 ) has an object-specific information item, it being possible to transfer this object-specific information item to the further automation object ( 1, 3 ). The object-specific information is present in a metalanguage or in a form which can be converted into a metalanguage. The invention also relates to a corresponding method in which object-specific information is transmitted from one automation object to another automation object ( 1, 3 )
