Zusammenfassung:A hydrogen sensor having a palladium film layer used for the detection of hydrogen, e.g., in an environment susceptible to the incursion or generation of hydrogen. The palladium film layer is coated with a thin zeolite membrane that minimizes palladium surface poisoning that can occur due to the presence of atmospheric contaminants such as water vapor, ammonia, methane, carbon monoxide, and/or carbon disulphide. This improves the performance and reliability of the sensor to pinpoint hydrogen leak locations.
