Zusammenfassung:	A polyester fiber having improved dripping resistance during burning can be provided by a polyester fiber made of a polyester composition containing a layer compound treated with at least one kind selected from a polyether compound and a silane compound, and a thermoplastic polyester resin. The present invention also relates to a polyester fiber made of a polyester composition comprising a layer compound treated with a water-soluble or water-miscible phosphorus flame retardant, and a thermoplastic polyester resin.
