Zusammenfassung: | What is disclosed are bonded articles of a peroxide cured elastomer and a substrate which an adhesive composition that exhibits substantial environmental resistance and rubber tearing bonds. The invention is also directed to adhesives consisting essentially of water, a phenol-aldehyde condensate, an etherified bis phenol aldehyde adduct and PVOH colloid protectant, optional polymeric film former, acid scavenger and precipitated silica. The present invention is further directed to a method of bonding peroxide-curable elastomers to metallic surfaces whereby the substrate is coated with the adhesive composition, drying the adhesive composition coating, applying a peroxide-cured elastomer to the adhesive composition coating, and curing the assembly with heat and/or pressure. |
