Zusammenfassung:	A method for treating cellulosic fibres, according to which the fibre is submitted to an electrical discharge, in presence of a treatment gaseous mixture comprising a carrier gas, as well as a reducing gas and/or an oxidizing gas, at the atmospheric pressure, characterized in that: when the treatment gaseous mixture comprises an oxidizing gas, the content of the oxidizing gas in the mixture is in the range 50 to 2000 ppm vol, when the treatment gaseous mixture comprises a reducing gas, the content of the reducing gas in the mixture is in the range 50 to 30000 ppm vol.
