Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a data path selection device (DS1-DS6) having at least two data terminals for a line-bound data transmission system. Any desired data path connections (DV) can be set between the data terminals of the data path selection device (DS1-DS6). The data path connections (DV) can be defined via an existing or an additional setting signal input (E), by means of a setting signal. The electrical isolation of data terminals and use of a data connection (D, AB) with a real-time capability, such as a real-time-capable Ethernet connection, are a feature of the invention.
