Zusammenfassung:	A novel and useful hemodialysis apparatus which can protect dialysis patients from hyperphophataemia. A phosphorus adsorbent is interposed in an extracorporeal blood circuit for dialysis. The blood taken from the body of a dialysis patient is subjected to dialysis as it flows through the extracorporeal blood circuit. At the same time, phosphorus is adsorbed and removed from the blood by the phosphorus adsorbent, thereby preventing the dialysis patients from experiencing hyperphosphataemia. As the phosphorus adsorbent adsorbs the phosphorus from the blood flowing through the extracorporeal blood circuit, it never enters the body of the patient and therefore does not cause any adverse effects.
