Zusammenfassung:	A flashlight using a single light source is provided having an accessory, such as a magnetic compass or a level, attached thereto. A light conduit communicates light from the light source to the accessory to provide adequate illumination during periods of low ambient light to allow a user to view the accessory. Accordingly, the flashlight uses a single light source that provides both the directed light beam for the flashlight, and the illumination of the accessory. The flashlight optionally includes an integral or attachable compartment for storing valuables or additional accessories.
