[Class 6 (ii).] A flower-pot comprises a non-porous, bottomless outer shell 1 of inverted frusto-conical or f rustopyramidal shape, but widening laterally near the bottom to form a base 2 of larger area, and a porous earth and flower container 3 fitting snugly within the shell and held in an elevated position with its bottom 4 in the region of the waist portion 9 of the shell. An overhanging circular rim 6 may be provided on the inner side of the shell at its waist, contacting with bottom 4 and sloping downwards towards the centre so as to collect all dripping water into a vessel 5 beneath it. The base 2 may be provided with ventilation holes or notches 8. |
