Zusammenfassung: | 294,877. Kunze, W., and Radiofrequenz Ges. July 30, 1927, [Convention date]. Magnetic instruments.-An actuating device for a loud-speaker comprises a reed, one end of which is clamped whilst its other end is adapted to vibrate between magnet pole-pieces, one or both of which carry the actuating coils, the reed being coupled to an external non-magnetic bridge member which is supported at both ends. Fig. 1 shows a construction in which a reed B is clamped at one end between horseshoe magnets A, its other end being adapted to vibrate between the magnet pole-pieces C which carry coils D. A rod F, carrying at its outer end a conical diaphragm Q, connects the reed with a non-magnetic bridge E placed across the limbs of the magnets. In the modified construction, Fig. 2, one of the pole-pieces J is made larger so as to carry the coils H, accurate adjustment of the reed L in the gap between the polepieces J, K being effected by means of a screw N. The tension of the non-magnetic bridge O can be adjusted by means of a screw P so as to vary the pitch of the loud-speaker. |
