The tyre base is corrugated to seat on a corresponding ring 52 which is riveted to a band 51 fitting the rim-bed 34. The tyre is clamped between a fixed flange 35 and a detachable flange 37 which is secured by bolts 53 housed in the corrugations of the ring 52.
