Zusammenfassung:To manufacture a holding flange intended to be inserted into a groove of an outer ring of a rolling bearing, from a metal plate having a plate thickness measured between a front face and an opposite rear face of the metal plate, a method is performed in at least two steps. By penetration of a first tool, along a reference axis perpendicular to the plate and in a direction of penetration from the front face over an intermediate depth less than the plate thickness, the material initially located inside a front geometric envelope is pushed back into a volume axially located between the intermediate depth and the rear face of the holding flange and delimited by a blank geometric envelope. Next, by penetration of a second tool along the reference axis and in the direction of penetration, the plate is perforated to form a final bore having a rear geometric envelope located, in projection on a plane perpendicular to the reference axis, radially inside the front geometric envelope and outside the blank geometric envelope.
