Zusammenfassung:	A light emitting unit is configured to be applied to a surface area of a marine vessel and includes at least one light source configured to emit anti- fouling light (e.g., UV light), and two electrically conductive plates. One side of the at least one light source is electrically connected to one of the plates and another side to the electric energy distribution arrangement of the light emitting unit. The plates are arranged to form respective capacitors with an electrically conductive area of, or over, the surface of the marine vessel, the capacitors connected in series through the electrically conductive surface area once the light emitting unit is applied to the surface the marine vessel.
