Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to a composition for inhibiting teratoma formation or growth, comprising tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase 1 (TIMP-1) or tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase 2 (TIMP-2) as an effective component. A pharmaceutical composition for inhibiting teratoma formation or growth comprising TIMP-1 or TIMP-2 as an effective component according to the present invention, when used in stem cell therapy, can inhibit the formation and growth of teratomas caused by undifferentiated pluripotent stem cells, without affecting the differentiation potential thereof, and thus can be advantageously used as a combination drug in combination with a stem cell drug.
