Zusammenfassung:	An electronic device includes a communication unit and a control unit. The communication unit performs authentication communication to authenticate an external device connected to the electronic device. The control unit sets a time limit of the authentication communication to a predetermined time in a case where the external device is a first device. The predetermined time is a time that is longer than a time required for authentication communication between the first device and the electronic device, and is shorter than a time required for authentication communication between the electronic device and a second device different from the first device.
