Zusammenfassung:	Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit, via a subscription of the UE to a network node, a UE assistance information (UAI) that indicates a reduction to one uplink multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) layer for the subscription. The UE may transmit, via the subscription to the network node, an uplink transmission using one uplink MIMO layer on one transmit (Tx) chain of the UE based at least in part on the UAI and a timer associated with the UAI.
