| Zusammenfassung: | A method for the automatic merging of a vehicle from a slip road into a lane of traffic involves determining a primary merging position in advance at which the vehicle is to undertake a lane change from the slip road to the lane of traffic. If the lane change at the primary merging position or as close as possible to it does not lead to road users in the lane of traffic being obstructed, the vehicle is controlled in such a way that the lane change is carried out at the primary merging position. Otherwise, the lane change is carried out at a secondary merging position which is determined depending on detected clearances between road users in the lane of traffic. |
