The main portion includes a metal substrate and an active material layer coated on a surface of the metal substrate. The protruding portion is connected to the metal substrate. The metal substrate protrudes along a length direction of the electrode assembly. Along a thickness direction of the electrode assembly, a size of at least a part of the protruding portion is greater than a size of the metal substrate. The electrode assembly according to the Embodiments aims to solve a technical problem of severe heat emission of a tab.
