Zusammenfassung: | Aspects of the subject technology relate to securing magnets within a nuclear magnetic resonance ("NMR") tool in a manner that prevents damage or disturbance of the magnets due to the drilling environment, and more particularly, to creating a chamber within the structure of a logging while drilling ("LWD") tool to isolate the magnets from certain external conditions. A downhole tool comprises a tool collar with a recessed portion comprising a collar mandrel section and a threaded segment, wherein the recessed portion of the tool collar comprises at least one cavity configured to accept one or more carriers configured to hold one or more magnets, a compression sleeve covering the recessed portion and the at least one cavity of the downhole tool; and a compression sub component mated to the threaded segment and configured to compress the compression sleeve toward the shoulder of the unrecessed portion of the tool collar. |
