Zusammenfassung:Embodiments described herein disclose methods and systems for authenticating ownership of an account in real-time or near real-time so that a user can fund or open a new account without waiting for several days. The system enables an operator to select one or more methods for authentication from a group of candidate schemes. The candidate schemes include (1) a card-association-network scheme; (2) an account-aggregation scheme; and (3) a credit-bureau-integration scheme.
