The disclosed methods and systems utilize various data inputs, including affirmative user inputs, non-affirmative user characteristics, environmental data and/or temporal data to customize channel programming for a particular user or group of users. In a further aspect, the disclosed methods and systems provide for various social sharing of viewing experiences and channels by coordinating, broadcasting and/or sharing channels or viewing schedules with other users.
