Zusammenfassung:	A radar system may include: a transceiver configured to transmit a first radar signal into a field of view and to receive a second radar signal from the field of view; a processing unit configured to process the second radar signal, to generate a detection track, given by a signal amplitude distribution as a function of distance from the transceiver, and to detect presence of targets in the field of view from the generated detection track; and a marker located in the field of view, wherein the marker is arranged in a fixed position relative to the transceiver and wherein the marker is configured to receive the first radar signal and to transmit a diagnostic radar signal toward the transceiver as a function of the first radar signal. The processing unit may be further configured to store a predetermined diagnostic track, including at least a characteristic distance and signal amplitude.
