Zusammenfassung:	A heat exchanger, in particular battery cooler, having a pipe which has a pipe end portion that is placed at an open end of the pipe and is widened, at least in part, with respect to the non-widened portion of the pipe that is further away from the pipe end portion, a head part that has an opening and a radial outside wall, wherein the non-widened portion of the pipe fits through the opening. The, a seal which is received by the head part in order to be compressed between the pipe and the radial outside wall of the head part, and a tank component which is connected to pipe end portion via the head part. A method for assembling a heat exchanger is also provided.
