The information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to: receive a user operation performed on a display displaying a screen presenting first content, the user operation is a gesture moving along the display from a first point of the display to a second point of the display in contact with the display; perform, in response to the user operation being in a first predetermined direction and ending outside the screen, a first predetermined operation displaying second content that is different from the first content; and perform, in response to the user operation being in the first predetermined direction and not ending outside the screen, a second predetermined operation that is different from the first predetermined operation.
