Zusammenfassung:	A binder for a nonaqueous battery electrode, the nonaqueous battery electrode using the binder for the nonaqueous battery electrode, and a nonaqueous battery. The binder for a nonaqueous battery electrode contains a copolymer (P) of an ethylenically unsaturated monomer (A) essentially containing a styrene-based monomer (a1) and a (meth)acrylate ester (a2), and a surfactant (B1) having an ethylenically unsaturated bond, wherein the total amount of structure units derived from the surfactant (B1) having the ethylenically unsaturated bond in the copolymer (P) and the surfactant (B2) not contained in the copolymer (P) is 0.10 to 1.00 parts by mass based on 100 parts by mass of the copolymer (P). Also disclosed is a method for producing the binder.
